About the Role
The IT Asset Owner is a critical role responsible for the governance, risk management, and strategic oversight of IT applications, ensuring they are secure, compliant, and resilient throughout their lifecycle. This role requires a strategic mindset to balance compliance requirements with the pace of delivery, guiding teams in the governance of IT platform reliability and resilience.
Responsibilities
- Act as a single point of contact for stakeholder groups, facilitating communication, decision-making, clearing blockers and dependencies, and translating technical details into easy to consume information.
- Manage information systems to ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations; provide specialist advice on correcting compliance issues.
- Review and plan remediation for issues identified in security risk and vulnerability assessments, provide guidance on the application of security controls.
- Proactively assess, identify, and document risks. Carry out risk assessments, coordinate the development of countermeasures, and contribute to technology resilience.
- Assist the application teams in the remediation of audit points and self-identified issues to reduce risk. Document evidence and communicate the required technology remediation measures to the application teams.
- Define and manage IT Asset compliance-related projects, applying appropriate methodologies (plan-driven or agile) to ensure successful delivery within scope and timeline.
Requirements
- Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
- Extensive Knowledge of IT risk management, information security, development methodologies, and IT policies and procedures.
- Proven ability to understand client requirements, deliver analysis, and provide definitive, expert advice in your specialist area(s).
- Ability to work under general direction with substantial autonomy, influencing customers, suppliers, and partners. Experience mentoring individuals and promoting best practices.
- Fluent oral and written communication, with the ability to present complex technical and business information clearly to diverse audiences. Great collaborator / team player.
- Basic knowledge of and experience with modern SDLC tools (Git, JIRA, Artifactory, Jenkins/TeamCity) is required.
