About the Role

As a Receptionist (m/f/d) at the animal shelter, you are the first point of contact at our reception desk. With your organizational skills and natural friendliness, you ensure a professional first impression.

Responsibilities

  • Reception and consultation of visitors and interested parties for animals
  • Administrative tasks, e.g., closing animal placement contracts, registration and deregistration with animal registers, contract closures after animal surrender
  • Processing of email inquiries regarding placements and surrenders
  • Handling, care, and forwarding of telephone calls
  • Database maintenance of CRM programs and creation of animal statistics
  • Cashier activities: acceptance and registration of payments, reconciliation and checking of cash balance, logging of cash list
  • Registration and deregistration of protected shelter animals
  • Acceptance of material donations and postal packages

Requirements

  • You have a big heart for animals and animal welfare
  • Commercial training or relevant professional experience in a comparable position
  • Team player with high customer orientation and a strong service mentality
  • You are sociable and enjoy working with people
  • You have a confident and friendly demeanor
  • You are a strong communicator, even with difficult animal surrenders
  • Willingness to work on weekends
  • Solid IT skills, including MS Office programs
