About the Role
Lahmeyer International combines extensive experience, technical expertise, and consulting competence to offer a broad spectrum of engineering and consulting services in Power & Heat, Transmission & Distribution, Renewables, and Hydro. We are known for innovative projects and are a reliable partner for complex consulting and demanding engineering services in national and international contexts. We are seeking to expand our Power & Heat Business Unit and are looking for you to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Take on the professional, organizational, and economic leadership of the department, including managing and developing an interdisciplinary team of approximately 15 employees.
- Be responsible for the service areas of environmental consulting, environmental planning/assessment, project management, and environmental informatics.
- Manage environmental projects and associated services in terms of technical execution, deadlines, and budget.
- Oversee environmental and social impact assessments, environmental compatibility studies, and environmental management and monitoring concepts.
- Ensure the quality of work results and compliance with relevant standards.
- Coordinate collaboration with specialist planners, authorities, clients, and other project stakeholders.
- Identify market and project opportunities, engage in acquisition, contribute to proposals, and further develop the service portfolio.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Planning, Engineering, Geoecology, or a comparable field.
- Several years of professional experience in environmental consulting, environmental planning, public institutions, or environmental management of infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in leading teams and projects, as well as managing budgets, deadlines, and quality.
- Sound knowledge of environmental and planning law, particularly in the area of environmental impact assessments.
- Ideally, expertise in public procurement procedures (VOL/VOB) and approval processes.
- Professional demeanor when dealing with clients and project partners, with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for developing a team and service area.
- Fluent German language skills (C2 level).
