About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Microsoft engineer to join our growing Consultancy & Engineering Practice. You will work across various customer environments, designing, delivering, and supporting secure, resilient Microsoft solutions, including Microsoft 365, Exchange, Azure, and Entra ID, while contributing to cloud transformation and modernization projects.
Responsibilities
- Support and optimize Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Exchange Hybrid environments.
- Troubleshoot complex messaging, mail flow, and platform issues.
- Deliver mailbox migrations, tenant consolidations, and modernization projects.
- Manage email security and compliance across Proofpoint, Microsoft Defender, Purview, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
- Support identity services including Entra ID, Conditional Access, SSO, and Entra Connect.
- Build and manage Azure infrastructure, networking, storage, and compute services.
- Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Implement Azure monitoring, governance, security, and access controls.
- Support CI/CD, containers, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Provide third-line technical support and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with architects, security, infrastructure, and application teams to deliver effective end-to-end solutions.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Exchange Online, Exchange On-Premises, and Hybrid.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID.
- Experience with mail flow, SMTP routing, migrations, and email security.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Purview, retention, eDiscovery, and compliance.
- Azure infrastructure experience across compute, storage, networking, monitoring, and security.
- Automation skills using PowerShell, with experience of Microsoft Graph API, Azure CLI, or Azure Automation beneficial.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Bicep, ARM, or Terraform.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ideally 5+ years’ experience supporting enterprise technology platforms.
