About the Role
We are making our first marketing hire, responsible for owning how Chai is perceived globally. This includes managing the brand, narrative, and key interactions with diverse audiences, from pharma executives and scientists to AI researchers and engineers. The role involves refreshing the brand identity and website, orchestrating presence at major industry events, building platforms for founder and researcher reach, enhancing the company's appeal to technical talent, and establishing operational playbooks for scalable growth.
Responsibilities
- Own how Chai shows up in the world, including brand, story, and key impression moments.
- Refresh identity and website.
- Ensure key moments count at JPM, partner events, and AI and science conferences.
- Build platforms to give founders and researchers more reach.
- Make Chai more legible and compelling to engineers and researchers.
- Put a playbook in place for faster, high-standard execution.
Requirements
- Brand builder with trusted taste and operational discipline.
- Sophisticated enough to set creative direction and manage agencies.
- Hands-on ability to rewrite headlines, fix slides, and manage event vendors.
- Experience close to building at least one respected technology brand.
- May have been a founding marketer at a high-growth startup, led brand/creative at a design-forward company, or run experiences at a firm known for them.
- Genuine curiosity about science and ability to learn technical domains quickly.
