About the Role
The 2027 Payments Settlements Graduate Program at the Reserve Bank of Australia offers a unique opportunity to develop specialist expertise in operational risk, compliance and governance while working at the centre of Australia's payments ecosystem. You'll join the team responsible for operating and safeguarding Australia's critical payment infrastructure, the systems that process more than $300 billion in transactions every day. This role is essential to maintaining confidence in the financial system.
Responsibilities
- Support initiatives that strengthen risk awareness and embed a positive risk culture across the department.
- Assist with identifying, assessing and managing operational risks across critical payment systems.
- Contribute to the design, implementation and monitoring of risk controls.
- Support incident management activities, including investigations, root cause analysis and remediation planning.
- Assist in the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the RBA's risk and compliance frameworks.
- Complete the RBA's structured graduate learning and development program while building specialist expertise in risk management within Payments Settlements.
Requirements
- Must hold Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency or be a New Zealand Citizen at the time of application.
