About the Role
HENNGE is seeking a TPM to lead the development and evolution of the core platform for its cloud security service, HENNGE One. This role is crucial for achieving the company's goal of ARR 20 billion by 2029, by preventing data silos and redundant development, and accelerating product development speed and common experience across all products. The TPM will be responsible for the vision, roadmap, and development direction of the compound SaaS platform, including identity, DLP, and cybersecurity products.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, construction, and development management of the core platform (common infrastructure) for HENNGE One.
- Act as a business growth owner, handling everything from customer insight discovery to value definition, hypothesis testing, and market delivery.
- Manage discovery and delivery in rapid cycles, making independent decisions on resolving trade-offs between individual and overall optimization.
- Adjust friction between rapid development by individual teams and consistency of the integrated platform to maximize the integrated value of compound SaaS.
- Formulate and promote the vision and roadmap for a common cross-product experience (user management, authentication, authorization, dictionary assets, plan management, security infrastructure).
- Extract generic platform functions (common assets) from individual product requirements and present a clear infrastructure roadmap that satisfies other teams.
- Define requirements, specifications, and direct development in collaboration with Product Managers, engineers, and designers from each product.
- Plan and prioritize features related to enterprise identity infrastructure (IAM), including SSO/SAML and provisioning.
- Facilitate consensus-building through diligent communication with stakeholders (PdMs, EMs, business departments), using data, logic, and a humble and respectful approach.
- Understand 'what needs to be done' through close communication with each product team (PdMs, EMs, etc.), manage architectural coordination, and build consensus and direction for the company-wide common infrastructure.
- Control inter-product dependencies and standardize development processes by preventing breaking changes, managing dependencies, and utilizing documentation, AI, and tools.
Requirements
- Business-level Japanese proficiency (with experience in complex Japanese negotiations).
- Business-level or higher English proficiency (to collaborate with multinational engineering and multi-product teams).
- Practical experience as a software engineer, or experience discussing system architecture (microservices, IAM/authentication/authorization, data models, API design, etc.) with development teams.
- Product management / TPM experience.
- Experience extracting and designing 'generic platform assets' from the challenges and specifications of scattered individual applications.
- Experience overcoming conflicts of interest between multiple teams and trade-offs between 'individual development speed vs. platform commonality' through diligent dialogue and logic to achieve consensus.
