- Conduct AI control assessment and design, AI Assurance, and AI Internal Audit.
- Perform technical evaluation of models, retrieval-augmented generation, and agents.
- Review AI platform and lifecycle controls.
- Support regulatory and governance readiness.
- Strengthen assurance methodology and evaluation infrastructure.
- Translate AI, business, and control risks into practical, proportionate work programs and control design approaches.
- Design and execute testing across models, data, prompts, retrieval, agents, platforms, and related controls.
- Work closely with business, risk, technology, data science, and engineering stakeholders through interviews and workshops.
- Assess and advise on control design and operating effectiveness.
- Challenge assumptions and evaluate the reliability and limitations of evidence.
- Link observations to risk and business impact.
- Draft concise, evidence-based workpapers, findings, and report sections.
- Guide juniors on testing approach and escalate quality, scope, or evidence concerns early.
Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in AI, data science, advanced analytics, data engineering, technology risk, cloud, cyber controls, technology assurance, technology-focused internal audit, or advisory and control design roles.
- Professional qualification completed or in progress, such as CISA, CA or equivalent; IT and business qualifications will be viewed favourably.
- Exposure to AI or model evaluation, statistical testing, experimental design, RAG or agent evaluation, production performance measurement, or control design and uplift.
- Working knowledge of model risk, AI governance and relevant standards or frameworks such as ISO 42001, SOC reporting, ASAE 3150 / 3100, CPS 230 or CPS 234.
- Experience leading components of engagements or workstreams, with strong judgement in risk, controls, advisory and assurance environments.
- Strong written communication, disciplined documentation and the ability to work confidently across business, risk and technical stakeholders.
- A sharp analytical mindset, strong attention to detail and a track record of delivering high-quality work at pace.
- The preferred candidate will be subject to background screening by Deloitte or by their external third-party provider.
