About the Role

The Facilities Manager leads the statewide delivery of facilities and workplace services across Legal Aid NSW, ensuring offices are safe, functional, reliable and supported by effective service providers. The role manages facilities operations, contracts, minor works, fleet and operational assets, leads the facilities team, monitors expenditure and operational risk, and provides specialist advice to support effective property and asset services.

Requirements

  • Experienced facilities leader who thrives in complex, multi-site environments
  • Knows how to keep workplaces safe, reliable and running smoothly while balancing competing priorities, operational risks, budgets and projects
  • Confident people leader with strong experience managing contractors, suppliers and service agreements to deliver quality outcomes and value for money
  • Brings sound project, procurement and contract management skills
  • Comfortable making decisions, solving problems and responding quickly when priorities shift
  • Strong communicator and relationship builder
  • Can influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to improving facilities services
  • Hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency
  • Undertake relevant pre-employment checks such as Criminal Record Check, and Conduct Service Check
  • Current NSW Driver Licence
  • Willingness to travel to metropolitan and regional Legal Aid NSW offices as required
