About the Role
This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver efficient, customer-focused services that enhance accessibility, sustainability, and quality of living. You will manage a portfolio of complex projects from inception to delivery, ensuring successful outcomes within budget and aligned with requirements. The position fosters continuous improvement, strong stakeholder relationships, and expert project management advice.
Responsibilities
- Manage the development, implementation, and delivery of operational projects and programs, including business plans, governance frameworks, operational systems, and reporting requirements.
- Drive end-to-end process improvements to enhance customer and operational outcomes and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective project outcomes.
- Provide expert advice, recommendations, and solutions on project issues, risks, and opportunities.
- Coordinate and deliver projects while balancing operational, commercial, engineering, and safety considerations.
- Monitor project performance, budgets, and milestones, and prepare high-quality reports and documentation.
- Identify and apply industry trends, emerging practices, and relevant government policies to improve project outcomes.
- Develop and implement business and communication strategies to support successful project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrate the Five Ways of Leading behaviours to achieve positive outcomes for customers, communities, and the organisation.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience delivering operational projects and programs.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Strong understanding of transport operational systems and interfaces.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear advice and present recommendations to a range of audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to develop innovative and practical solutions.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, deliver results, and meet project deadlines.
- A collaborative approach, with experience working across multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Sound understanding of project management methodologies, risk management, and governance practices.
- A commitment to customer service, continuous improvement, and inclusive workplace practices.
