About the Role
MEP Managers at Rogers-O'Brien ensure the seamless integration and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in construction projects, managing all MEP-related aspects to ensure timely, within-budget completion that meets quality and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction for all aspects of MEP planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Provide construction support for MEP systems.
- Oversee the balancing, commissioning, and validation certification of MEP systems.
- Assist with design, planning, and quality control.
- Manage commissioning processes.
- Review and expedite submittals/approvals to ensure timely project completion.
- Support PM and Superintendent in planning, organizing, and supervising the work of MEP trades.
Requirements
- Degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, technology education, or building construction/MEP, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial construction/MEP coordination.
- General understanding of building codes, mechanical codes, electrical codes, and plumbing codes as they relate to construction projects.
- Experience in mechanical and electrical construction/MEP areas.
- Experience in leading project coordination, design assistance, and commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems in healthcare, telecommunications, data centers, or other mission-critical projects.
- Strong leadership and relationship skills.
- Proven track record as an MEP Manager for related projects with MEP scopes.
