About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher qualified Director to lead our team in a permanent full-time capacity. This role provides a balance of direct engagement with children and dedicated non-contact time for Educational Leadership and Director responsibilities. We are looking for a leader who values remaining connected to children's everyday learning experiences and sees the classroom as the heart of their leadership practice.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake Educational Leadership and Director responsibilities.
  • Lead a team in a permanent full-time capacity.
  • Engage directly with children.
  • Role-model high-quality teaching practice.
  • Mentor and support educators.
  • Foster a culture of reflection, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators, and the broader community.
  • Manage team leadership, mentoring, and coaching educators to achieve high-quality outcomes.
  • Oversee rostering, daily operations, policy implementation, compliance requirements, and service management.
  • Implement inclusive practices and create environments where every child, family, and educator feels a sense of belonging, respect, and value.
  • Promote pedagogical inquiry, reflective practice, and evidence-informed approaches to teaching and learning.

Requirements

  • Available to commence in Term 1, 2027 (25 January 2027).
  • Demonstrated experience in a director role within an early childhood education setting.
  • Strong understanding of contemporary early childhood pedagogy and educational leadership.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators, and the broader community.
  • Experience in team leadership, mentoring and coaching educators to achieve high-quality outcomes.
  • Sound knowledge of rostering, daily operations, policy implementation, compliance requirements, and service management.
  • Commitment to inclusive practices and creating environments where every child, family, and educator feels a sense of belonging, respect, and value.
  • Passion for pedagogical inquiry, reflective practice, and evidence-informed approaches to teaching and learning.
