About the Role

Oversee and maintain the successful operation of a community residence serving individuals with severe mental illness. Act as a positive role model and ensure the well-being of residents.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ability to problem solve, multi-task, and conduct research to resolve program concerns.
  • Be available during assigned shifts to address emergent needs, offer triage and support.
  • Ensure 24/7 coverage of the community residence.
  • Act in the capacity of a Residential Manager in their absence.
  • Verify successful operations of the program.
  • Handle crisis situations, deploy resources, and communicate effectively.
  • Maintain COVID protocols.
  • Provide training, direction, and supervision to Residential Counselors.
  • Maintain own training compliance.
  • Coordinate all services for individuals, including linkages to day treatment, therapy, medical, psychiatric, and financial services.
  • Prepare for OMH/OMIG/Internal Management Audits.
  • Conduct regular self-audits of records.
  • Oversee and implement agency medication protocols.
  • Monitor individuals' awareness and adherence to their prescribed medication regimen.
  • Ensure OMH Medication protocols are followed by staff.
  • Participate in mandatory staff meetings.
  • Maintain minutes of staff meetings and a sign-in sheet.
  • Attend monthly Managers’ meetings and present on Program updates.
  • Develop specific Individual Service Plans and conduct reviews every 90 days.
  • Maintain active target dates on the service plan.
  • Coordinate the implementation of Restorative Service Goals.
  • Participate in bi-annual Utilization Management Reviews.
  • Ensure completion of Recovery self-assessments and other billing components.
  • Complete/oversee ABC sheets and other behavioral tracking mechanisms.
  • Ensure Behavior Plans are successfully implemented.
  • Maintain records and submit according to program due dates.
  • Utilize Precision Care for all documentation.
  • Run monthly reports on progress notes.
  • Identify areas of concern and share findings with the Residential Manager.
  • Assist in managing staff schedules, required trainings, and staff onboarding.
  • Review/approve own timecard.
  • Participate in the admission/discharge process.
  • Represent the agency to other service providers and community groups.
  • Assist in overseeing cooking needs with healthy menu planning, food shopping/ordering, and meal preparation.
  • Review the weekly menu and make any needed changes.
  • Submit Weekly Food ledgers/receipts and Monthly Recreational receipts, van logs/receipts.
  • Maintain documentation of annual/bi-annual medical appointments.
  • Conduct routine audits of PC.
  • Accompany residents on medical appointments.
  • Exercise sound judgment.
  • Keep up with emails via Microsoft Outlook.
  • Perform other duties via Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word, Teams).
  • Effectively manage time, organize workspace, and demonstrate proactive planning.
  • Ensure organization of monthly recreation activities.
  • Establish and maintain professional, interpersonal relationships.
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships.
  • Handle complaints, settle disputes, resolve grievances, and offer mediation.
  • Direct issues to Residential Manager or Administration as appropriate.

Requirements

  • A H.S Diploma with at least FIVE (5) years’ experience working with the Mental Health population.
  • At least one year experience working within a OMH funded residential setting (preferred).
  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a degree in the field of human services (preferred).

Salary/Compensations
