About the Role
Equity Student Ambassadors represent the University and assist with the Future You program and outreach activities. These roles provide opportunities for prospective students to identify strengths and view university as a viable pathway. Ambassadors receive induction and training, with work offered on an ad hoc basis. The role may involve travel to high schools and other venues. Ambassadors engage with students from underrepresented groups, and students from these backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Represent the University in a positive and professional manner at events.
- Engage high school students and stakeholders, sharing university experiences.
- Lead campus tours for high school students.
- Deliver workshops and presentations on pathways, scholarships, and university life.
- Undertake tasks such as organizing merchandise, data entry, and event preparation.
- Attend training, team meetings, and development opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Prospective Students Office or Student Equity.
Requirements
- Completed at least one semester of study at the University of Notre Dame by the end of 2026.
- Have at least one year of study remaining.
- Hold, or be willing and eligible to obtain, the applicable Working with Children Check.
- Have excellent communication and people skills.
- Have current and valid work rights in Australia.
