About the Role
Nevid Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant in Pawling, New York to provide excellent patient care and support the clinical team. This role is integral to patient satisfaction and operates within a team-based environment, contributing to the mission of delivering outstanding dental care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
- Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
- Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
- Assist the dentist in managing dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
Requirements
- 1 year of on-the-job experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
