About the Role
IHOP is seeking a full-time General Manager to lead a high-performance and energetic restaurant environment. This role is crucial for executing financial, marketing, guest service, and human resource objectives.
Responsibilities
- Execute annual financial, local restaurant marketing, guest service, and human resource objectives.
- Manage the restaurant floor and ensure regular contact with guests.
- Maintain guest complaints within acceptable limits and handle concerns professionally.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Recruit, train, and retain employees.
- Conduct ongoing coaching and administer the restaurant hourly compensation plan.
- Document performance problems.
- Ensure food meets SOP specifications, recipes, plating, and garnishes, and is served at appropriate temperatures within standard ticket times.
- Maintain adequate levels of supplies, including food, paper, kitchen, safety, janitorial, uniform, linen, and miscellaneous items.
- Order food in a timely manner, keeping inventory to a minimum, and avoiding out-of-stock items.
- Oversee the operational condition of equipment, building structure, and premises.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and SOP.
- Oversee sanitation practices, security measures, and implementation of national and local marketing promotions.
- Complete all required reports and paperwork.
Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to speak and read English
- Basic math skills
