About the Role
As an Underwriter, you will accurately assess environmental and medical risks for new contracts. This role is in a department that handles constantly evolving underwriting, and we welcome individuals who can contribute to making the underwriting process faster and simpler through continuous improvement and innovation. You will gain skills in financial statement analysis and medical knowledge while learning underwriting principles. This position also allows you to experience the dynamics of the life insurance industry by adapting to societal changes and medical advancements. Beyond underwriting, you will have the opportunity to shape external and internal customer feedback through daily operational improvements and reforms, including policy and form revisions.
Responsibilities
- Underwriting new contracts and related tasks.
- Planning, designing, and executing initiatives to reduce errors.
- Improving new contract underwriting processes.
- Revising policies and maintaining manuals.
- Managing and supervising vendors (depending on position).
- Developing team members (depending on position).
Requirements
- Experience in insurance operations.
- Basic PC skills (Excel, Word, PPT).
- Business telephone etiquette.
- A positive attitude towards challenges and a commitment to continuously enhance knowledge and skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated.
- Ability to proactively communicate with stakeholders and collaborate effectively.
- Underwriting experience is preferred.
- English proficiency is a plus.
