About the Role

We are seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join our law firm, in our premises liability defense and/or our automobile (Bodily Injury) accident defense practice groups. The ideal candidate is experienced in all litigation phases and is a self-starter with experience in insurance defense.

Responsibilities

Independently manage a case load
Develop case strategies
Provide legal advice to clients, carriers, and/or insureds
Draft legal pleadings and motions
Prepare for and attend legal proceedings
Prepare for and attend depositions
Negotiate on behalf of clients

Requirements

Admitted to practice in New York State
Previous experience premises liability defense and/or automobile (Bodily Injury) accident defense
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite

Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
Ability to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clients
