About the Role
The Orthopedic Technologist will work under the direction of orthopedic/plastic surgeons and in collaboration with other members of the health care team in the fracture clinic. This role provides care to clients with orthopedic problems through the application, adjustment, and removal of various cast splints and traction fittings.
Responsibilities
- Provides care to clients with orthopedic problems through the application, adjustment and removal of a variety of cast splints and traction fittings following medical orders of the ortho/plastic surgeon or the most responsible physician of the patient
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent required
- Emergency experience required
- Good attendance and work record
- Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration
- May be required to travel between and work at all Osler sites
Skills
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to work with a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge and use of basic computer program

Salary/Compensations
- Minimum: $39.90 per hour
- Maximum: $48.34 per hour
