About the Role
We are seeking an entry-level Data Engineer to support Gen II's data capabilities through high-impact initiatives, initially focused on the Finance function. This role involves working with the Senior Data Engineer to build upon a newly established data platform, initially supporting the financial planning and analytics team to enhance commercial decision-making, with future expansion into other business areas. This position offers opportunities to grow and shape the expanding data function, driving business insights across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist in building and maintaining a data platform utilizing Snowflake and dbt.
- Support the development of end-to-end data pipelines from source systems to end consumers.
- Ensure compliance with security and organizational data standards.
- Contribute to projects and duties assigned by the Finance Team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a similar/related discipline.
- 1+ years of experience in a data-related field, primarily working with cloud data warehouses.
- Strong SQL and Python skills.
- Knowledge of data architecture and modeling.
- Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong commercial understanding of data value and potential use cases.
