About the Role
Manage a portfolio of procurement for critical clinical products and services, partnering with clinicians to drive value and patient outcomes within a value-based, caring organisation.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of procurement for critical clinical products and services
- Partner with clinicians to drive value and patient outcomes
- Deliver procurement and category management outcomes across a diverse clinical portfolio
- Translate category strategies into effective day-to-day procurement, inventory and supplier management activities
- Manage purchasing activities
- Support sourcing and tender processes
- Monitor inventory performance
- Build strong supplier partnerships to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply of clinical products and services
- Identify opportunities to improve performance, strengthen supply continuity and deliver value using data and insights
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and processes
- Contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care through effective procurement and supply chain management
Requirements
- Procurement or supply chain professional experience
- Experience in purchasing, inventory management and supplier performance within healthcare or another complex, highly regulated environment
- Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
- Problem-solving abilities
- Ability to ensure the reliable supply of critical clinical products
- Organised and commercially minded
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to use data to support decisions
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinicians, suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or category management, ideally in a healthcare environment
- Exposure to tenders, RFx processes and supplier relationship management
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience managing procurement data, inventory and reporting
- Knowledge of procurement systems and ERP platforms
- Healthcare or regulated industry experience highly regarded
- Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Commerce or a related discipline
- Ability to build category management expertise while partnering with clinical stakeholders to support the delivery of high-quality patient care
