About the Role
Seeking a results-driven Account Director, Group Business Development to identify, develop, and convert new group business opportunities across key European markets. This role is critical in expanding Four Seasons' global group sales footprint by building new client relationships, creating high-value prospect pipelines, and generating qualified leads and revenue for the worldwide portfolio. Ideal for a proactive professional who excels at prospecting, relationship building, and achieving measurable business results.
Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and develop new group business opportunities across Europe for the global Four Seasons portfolio.
- Build and manage a strategic pipeline of prospective clients, focusing on high-potential organizations, sectors, and buyer segments.
- Conduct proactive outreach, discovery meetings, and presentations to generate demand and uncover new business opportunities.
- Lead hotel prospecting initiatives across EMEA, coordinating participating hotels, client targets, communications, and follow-up activities.
- Partner with hotels throughout the sales cycle, supporting qualification, proposals, site inspections, negotiations, and conversions.
- Generate qualified leads and definite bookings that contribute to room-night and revenue goals.
- Develop emerging accounts and execute seamless handovers to Account Directors once strategic growth criteria are achieved.
- Represent Four Seasons at industry events, trade shows, customer programs, and sales missions.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales activity reporting, pipeline forecasts, and market intelligence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of sales or business development experience, ideally within luxury hospitality, group sales, meetings and events, or a related sector.
- Proven track record of building prospect pipelines, generating new business, and exceeding revenue or conversion targets.
- Strong understanding of the European group sales, meetings and events landscape.
- Excellent prospecting, consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify, prioritize, and convert high-value opportunities.
- Highly organized with exceptional pipeline management, forecasting, and follow-through capabilities.
- Experience working across multiple properties, regions, or global organizations is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Salesforce, LinkedIn, Microsoft Office, and sales intelligence platforms.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage senior decision-makers and industry partners.
- Fluency in English; additional European language capabilities are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout Europe and occasionally internationally.
