About the Role
The Senior Project Manager will plan, coordinate, and execute projects within the estimated budget, timeline, and scope. They will monitor and present project updates to stakeholders, clients, and project team members, while coordinating and supervising all electrical aspects of projects to ensure timely completion, adherence to budget, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate project team performance, providing feedback, coaching, and training.
- Define roles and responsibilities for and manage required project staff.
- Ensure accurate project documentation is maintained by project staff.
- Attend and run project meetings, collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Address project-related issues, conflicts, or delays promptly and effectively.
- Create and manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Create and maintain accurate project financial reports including projections.
- Maintain accurate project documentation including progress reports, submittals, RFIs, correspondence logs, monthly billing, manpower forecasts and project closeout documents.
- Identify, estimate, prepare, and negotiate change orders.
- Develop comprehensive project budgets, monitor costs, and implement cost-saving measures.
- Liaise with field supervision.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of project manager experience required, including experience managing projects over $30M.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite in addition to project management software.
- Skilled in multiple platforms, with the ability to learn, use, and teach others; tech-forward.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in the electrical contracting/engineering space.
- Strong organizational & multi-tasking skills with attention to detail.
- Practical knowledge of construction.
- Strong business acumen in project planning and management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
