About the Role
As a Receiver at The Boulevard Club, you will play an important role in supporting Culinary and Food & Beverage operations by ensuring products and supplies are received, organized, and distributed efficiently. This role offers hands-on experience in receiving, inventory, and hospitality operations within a collaborative and professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming food, beverage, operating supplies, and other goods.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, and supporting documentation.
- Inspect products for quality, freshness, expiry dates, packaging condition, and temperature.
- Sort, organize, and distribute received products to appropriate areas.
- Maintain proper stock rotation using FIFO practices and assist with inventory counts and organization.
- Verify invoices and receiving documentation and assist with processing and maintaining records.
- Communicate delivery discrepancies, shortages, substitutions, and quality concerns to management.
- Safely unload, unpack, move, and distribute deliveries using appropriate material-handling equipment.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized receiving, loading, and storage areas.
- Provide general receiving, logistical, administrative, and operational support to Culinary and Food & Beverage teams.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory, logistics, stock handling, hospitality, or a related environment is considered an asset.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn inventory and administrative systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to safely lift and move products and supplies up to 50 lbs.
- Flexible availability based on operational requirements, including weekends and holidays.
