About the Role
The Manager, Communications – Entertainment Content supports the development and execution of high-impact publicity strategies for Bell Media's Crave and CTV programming. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for multiple priorities, helping to streamline processes, manage workloads, motivate the team, and translate campaign performance into clear insights and recommendations for senior management.
Responsibilities
- Lead publicity support for Bell Media's entire entertainment portfolio, including Crave and CTV, in close partnership with the Senior Manager on priority programming campaigns.
- Support the development and execution of integrated publicity strategies and campaign plans for original and acquired series, specials, events, and talent-led initiatives.
- Develop strategic public relations recommendations based on programming objectives, audience priorities, talent opportunities, media landscapes, and competitive activity.
- Manage day-to-day talent relations, including coordinating media opportunities, supporting talent preparation and briefing, managing expectations, and maintaining strong relationships with talent and their representatives.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with industry partners, producers, studios, distributors, agencies, publicists, and internal stakeholders to support campaign success.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Content, Production, Programming, Social Media, Digital, and other internal teams to ensure publicity strategies are aligned and executed effectively.
- Manage campaign timelines, deliverables, and priorities, ensuring teams focus on the highest-impact opportunities and meet deadlines.
- Assist in streamlining publicity processes and workflows, identifying efficiencies, improving tools, and establishing best practices to enable the team to work more effectively.
- Support the Senior Manager in managing team workloads and priorities, balancing competing demands across multiple programming campaigns and ensuring appropriate resource allocation.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and day-to-day support to junior team members, helping to motivate the team, foster collaboration, and encourage professional development.
- Track and evaluate campaign performance, generating media, publicity, and competitive reports that identify key results, insights, trends, and opportunities.
- Translate campaign results and insights into clear and concise executive updates and presentations for senior management, highlighting impact, learnings, challenges, and recommendations.
- Identify proactive media, talent, and partnership opportunities that can amplify programming and strengthen Bell Media's entertainment brands.
- Support issue management and sensitive communications as needed, providing strategic counsel and helping to ensure consistent messaging across stakeholders.
- Represent the Publicity team in cross-functional meetings and working groups, ensuring publicity considerations are integrated early in programming and campaign planning.
- Contribute to the development of team strategy, planning tools, templates, and processes that enhance consistency, efficiency, and overall campaign execution.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- University degree and/or diploma in Communications.
- 3-5 years of experience in media or entertainment publicity.
- Experience in leading and motivating a team.
- Proven experience in creating innovative communication strategies.
- Highly organized and capable of managing numerous projects simultaneously.
- Ability to handle large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize, and multitask.
- Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions offered in Quebec.
