About the Role
Pillsbury seeks a mid-level associate (3rd-5th year) for its Corporate and Securities practice group in New York City to support its emerging company/venture capital practice. The role involves advising innovative companies, entrepreneurs, and financiers on corporate law, including formation, venture capital transactions, M&A, technology transfer, and joint ventures.
Responsibilities
- Advise innovative/disruptive companies, entrepreneurs, and financiers on all aspects of corporate law.
- Handle formation and venture capital transactions.
- Manage M&A, technology transfer transactions, and joint ventures.
- Act in "outside GC" capacities.
- Work across a broad array of industries including ecommerce, health and wellness, AI, CPG, media, social media, software, cybersecurity, and transportation.
Requirements
- Mid-level associate (3rd – 5th year).
- Strong academic background.
- Fluency in Excel and cap table/waterfall modeling.
- Exceptional research and writing skills.
- Passion for working with hard chargers in a fast-paced startup practice.
- Admitted to practice in New York.
