About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Chiller Service Technician responsible for performing chiller inspections and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented, work well with others, and possess a high level of correspondence with Project Managers, Service Coordinators, and customers.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and unscheduled maintenance and repair of industrial mechanical systems including air cooled chillers, centrifugal chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air handler units, valves, fan coil units, and variable air volume systems.
- Diagnose and repair machine and equipment defects including electronic, mechanical, and electrical components related to these systems.
- Oversee installation and operation of various mechanical systems.
- Lead the development of training, materials, and tools for the chiller/HVAC maintenance business.
- Be available to work some nights or weekends on a rotating basis for emergency customer service.
- Maintain company vehicle in good working order, including refueling, reporting mechanical issues, and regular washing.
- Maintain proper stock of parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
- Maintain all relevant documentation related to services and tasks performed, including make, model, serial number, test measurements, and pictures.
- Provide detailed, complete, and timely paperwork as required.
- Identify and report potential business opportunities to supervisor/manager, including site visits, conference calls with subcontractors, and cost estimation.
- Provide updates to dispatch, parts procurement, supervisors, and managers regarding work progressions.
- Schedule and coordinate services with the customer.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Current HVAC certification
- OSHA 10 Training
