About the Role
The VP Global Partnership Sales will be an experienced sales executive responsible for growing partnership revenue and driving commercial opportunities across all MSG companies. This role involves leading a world-class sales team, cultivating relationships, and maximizing profitability through strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop partnership opportunities including naming rights, fan engagement, digital extensions, concession integration, hospitality, media, bespoke experiences, and B2B engagement.
- Lead a sales team to maximize revenue through strategic marketing solutions and innovative sales concepts for domestic and international partnerships.
- Collaborate with Strategy, Business Solutions, and Partnership Management teams to implement a data-driven sales approach and optimize the sales process.
- Maximize outward-facing activities and prospect engagement.
- Build a high-performing team through mentorship, coaching, and guidance.
- Build and cultivate external networks and relationships.
- Optimize corporate revenue by identifying and pursuing significant opportunities.
- Focus efforts on inventory and strategies designed to maximize revenue streams for MSG properties.
- Directly oversee a team of 4.
- Provide exceptional experiences for guests, partners, and team members, adhering to appearance and presentation guidelines on-site.
Requirements
- 12+ years of direct sales experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a sales manager, coaching and leading teams.
- Seasoned negotiator and relationship builder with a proven record of negotiating complex, multi-product, multi-year deals that exceed aggressive revenue targets.
- Extensive knowledge of brand marketing and sponsorship sales, preferably with experience in traditional and digital-led ad sales.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills to partner with internal and external clients.
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively to maximize productivity.
