About the Role
Dominion Energy is seeking a Summer 2027 Civil Engineering intern for the Rapid Response department at Millstone Power Station in Waterford, CT. This role involves design expertise, ownership, and maintenance of Civil Engineering areas, including calculations supporting the station's design basis. Interns will support design changes, modifications, and projects, prepare engineering calculations, and conduct inspections.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and provide implementation support for design changes/modifications.
- Support projects produced within Station Design and Station Projects organizations.
- Collaborate with external vendors/architect-engineers.
- Prepare or revise calculations in support of engineering products.
- Conduct inspections of station structures and equipment.
Requirements
- Must be a student studying Civil Engineering at an ABET accredited program at a 4-year college or university.
- Must have a GPA of at least 3.00.
- Must have a graduation date of Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products is desired.
- Must be able to follow instructions and be a team player.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid engineering skills, commensurate with grade level.
- Good communication skills, technical writing skills, and computer skills.
- An inquisitive nature, an ability to follow written and verbal directions, and strong professional ethics.
