About the Role

Allied Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to join a high-impact technical services team, assisting with computer refresh projects by imaging, replacing computers, and migrating data.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the manual labor and support associated with the computer/docking station refresh project.
  • Perform day-to-day work of imaging, replacing computers, and migrating data.
  • Work as part of a team including an agency subject matter expert and a project manager.
  • Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.
  • Document, maintain, upgrade, or replace hardware and software systems.
  • Prepare or assist in the preparation of service record documentation.
  • Provide technical assistance and support for applications and hardware problems.
  • Install, maintain, move, and assist in testing and upgrading new and existing hardware/software.
  • Maintain necessary security controls over software.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Lift and relocate 30 lbs.
  • Assist in monitoring and providing assistance on the use and interface of systems, subsystems, and software applications.
  • Access data from and transfer data to various local, state, or federal databases.
  • Operate information technology systems.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.
  • 1 year of experience with personal computers, components, printers, and microcomputer terms.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional work environment.
  • 1 year of experience maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals.
  • 1 year of experience installing, maintaining, moving, and assisting in testing and upgrading new and existing hardware/software.
  • 1 year of experience using WordPerfect, MS Office Suite.
  • 1 year of working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.
  • 1 year of experience in assisting in monitoring and providing assistance on the use and interface of systems, subsystems, and software applications.
  • 1 year of knowledge of the practices, principles, and techniques of computer operations, information systems, computer software and hardware, and information security policies and procedures.
  • 1 year of experience in the use and support of personal computers, applicable programs and systems, and troubleshooting information systems.
  • Ability to operate information technology systems and communicate effectively.
