About the Role
As a Detail Technician I at Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, you will help prepare vehicles for sale by cleaning, detailing, and inspecting them to meet auction-ready standards. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, take pride in attention to detail, and like seeing the results of their efforts.
Responsibilities
- Clean, detail, and restore vehicle interiors and exteriors using professional tools, equipment, and cleaning products.
- Perform deep-cleaning tasks, including washing, vacuuming, shampooing, polishing, and detailing all vehicle interiors, exteriors, engines, wheels, and trim.
- Prepare vehicles for sale by removing non-essential items, organizing materials, and completing final quality inspections.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
- Assist with moving and staging vehicles, including driving vehicles within the auction area as needed.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Ability to lift and hold at least 30 pounds at the waist level for an extended period of time.
- Ability to stand, walk, talk, and hear in a variety of environments.
- Ability to crouch, bend, and kneel to inspect the side or underside of vehicles.
- Must clear a pre-employment drug test.
- Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

Salary/Compensations
- Hourly base pay rate is $15.10 - $22.60/hour.
- Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
