Decider.com, a New York Post Digital Network property, is seeking an enthusiastic part-time Weekend Writer to provide in-depth coverage of major shows on broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms. The role involves reacting to breaking news and anticipating future viewer conversations.
Responsibilities
- Devise innovative ways to provide in-depth coverage of the biggest shows on broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms.
- React to daily breaking conversations.
- Anticipate what viewers will be talking about in the weeks and months ahead.
Requirements
- A minimum of one year of hands-on, deadline-driven online editorial experience, preferably for an entertainment publication or online.
- Strong knowledge of the TV landscape, including streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Disney+, HBO Max, etc.
- Ability to gather reputable news sources and chase down leads.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices.
- Creativity and flexibility.
- Ability to juggle multiple assignments at once.
- Excellent time-management.
- Eager team player.
