About the Role
The Corporate Engagement Coordinator will enhance corporate volunteerism in NYC parks by leading days of service, fostering relationships, and assisting in revenue generation.
Responsibilities
- Support the citywide corporate volunteer program as a coordinator and liaison with corporate groups and NYC Parks staff.
- Provide motivation, supervision, and hands-on guidance to corporate volunteers at park beautification projects.
- Work with Parks staff to identify high priority projects and sites and obtain approvals for corporate volunteer projects.
- Track budgets, order supplies, perform logistical support, and provide quality client experiences for corporate volunteer projects.
- Communicate corporate volunteer program information to relevant staff, ensuring compliance with Parks goals and City regulations.
- Strengthen relationships with existing and new corporate partners and develop activities to recognize volunteer accomplishments.
- Develop and expand relationships with community park groups and identify opportunities to connect corporate resources to community needs.
- Document project successes in reports and presentations.
- Support It's My Park events and other PfP projects and initiatives.
Requirements
- One year of experience in volunteer management, event planning, or sponsorship/fundraising/sales.
- Excellent customer service, public speaking, and writing skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings and occasional evenings and weekends.
- Willingness to work outdoors, year-round, in sometimes uncomfortable weather conditions.
- Ability to work with diverse constituencies, both internal and external to CPF and Parks.
- Ability to work independently and initiate projects.
- Experience in horticulture and/or parks maintenance and stewardship, preferred.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License and ability to drive in New York City to pick-up & deliver project supplies, preferred.
- Proficiency in Google apps, preferred.
- Experience using Salesforce, or similar platform, preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- City Parks Foundation does not offer visa sponsorship.
