About the Role

This position is responsible for distributing, verifying and reconciling floats, completing large cash transactions and monitoring the day-to-day activities of Cashiers. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. You will ensure compliance with Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and all applicable laws, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for customer service, exceeds expectations of providing great customer service
  • Handles cash transactions, including foreign currency exchange
  • Monitors and reports all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities
  • Redeems gaming chips, Tito tickets, Redeems cash for chip transactions
  • Verifies and processes machines fills, table fills and credits
  • Processes cash advance transactions and Sportsbook betting
  • Pays out Jackpots to Slot Attendants
  • Enters all AML transactions when reached at the threshold
  • Checking I-Track if a customer is banned
  • Issues float to other departments and reconcile closing floats
  • Transfers and stores floats, keys and record keeping documents
  • Documents and reconcile transactions, including bank deposits
  • Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
  • Follows all policy and procedures that are in place.
  • Performs machine fills which includes, filling and dropping the machine with cash cassettes and coins, reconciling of machines. This consists of physical work including pushing, pulling and lifting.
  • Making coin bags and filling cassettes with money
  • Preparing and delivering money transfers
  • Counting in and balancing the main bank
  • Verifying the money in the bank and at the cashier windows
  • Counting the slot buy and table buy money
  • Monitors the Cage team; provides input for team member performance evaluations and objectives
  • Prepares cage for opening and closing; distributes, verifies and reconciles Cashier floats
  • Verifies or completes large transactions
  • Documents and reconciles cash and cash equivalents; provides reports
  • Participates in Cage corporate training; assists in conducting site training
  • Responds to, resolves or escalates cage issues
  • Communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Manage other initiatives as required
  • Manage the casino float to ensure monetary assets and transactions are accurate and secure.
  • Oversee ticket redemption machine loading and reconciliation, auditing, and tracking sheets.
  • Supervise direct reports, provide instruction and direction as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or comparable combination of equivalent working experience and education.
  • Requires experience in the related field of one (1) or more years.
  • Possess organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
  • Require strong mathematical ability, work in a physically demanding area and be familiar with a high-volume and fast paced environment.
  • A strong knowledge of cash, foreign currency and other settlement types is also required.
  • Required Registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant through the AGCO and Smart Serve.
