Responsibilities

  • Oversee clinical operations, lead clinical staff, and ensure regulatory compliance to enhance resident health, safety, and well-being.
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement resident care plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, implementing evidence-based practices.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate nursing professionals (RN, RPN/LPN, PSW/HCA).
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and professional growth.
  • Provide ongoing education and training to nursing professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards governing long-term care homes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to resident care, medication administration, and incident reporting.
  • Coordinate and participate in regulatory inspections, audits, and surveys.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to monitor and evaluate care and services.
  • Conduct regular reviews of clinical policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify opportunities for quality improvement.
  • Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate care.
  • Participate in care planning meetings, case conferences, and family meetings.

Requirements

  • Compassionate and dedicated to meaningful work that supports seniors.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working as a nurse in Long Term Care.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience working as a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse in a managerial or supervisory capacity in a healthcare setting.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit.
  • Must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and/or Criminal Record Check applicable to the appropriate province.
