About the Role
The Administrative and Front Desk Coordinator will work closely with the Human Resources Department to ensure a smoothly functioning business operation. This tech-savvy and hands-on role supports an organization focused on youth and tennis education, reporting to the HR department at the Long Island City headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors with a warm, professional customer service demeanor
- Answer, screen, and direct phone calls to the appropriate departments
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries
- Order and maintain office supplies inventory
- Coordinate office maintenance and repairs
- Physical ability to lift and move boxes weighing 10 to 15 pounds
- Support various departments with administrative tasks
- Assist with administrative support across the HR department, including data entry, document preparation, and other tasks as needed
- Assist with company culture events and wellness initiatives
- Edit content on web platforms
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1+ years' experience in various human resources roles
- Experience with ADP, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred
- Technologically savvy and comfortable using Web-based or mobile applications
- Excellent interpersonal and written/spoken communication skills
- Commitment to community service, youth development and education
