About the Role

We are a team of around 15 professionals in Berlin focusing on sustainable, energy-optimized construction, particularly in renovation and existing buildings. Everyone here takes responsibility, and decisions are made by the team. We are looking for project management support with a background in civil engineering and an interest in technically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

Lead construction projects through service phases 1-8, focusing on phases 6-8: tendering, awarding, and construction supervision.
Write bills of quantities, solicit bids, award contracts, and manage change orders, invoices, and costs.
Spend time on the construction site, not just in the office, to understand projects and partners and identify potential issues early.
Find technical solutions for unexpected challenges on site.
Participate in decision-making and communicate directly with clients, specialist planners, and companies.
Manage documentation and deadlines as tools, not ends in themselves.
Contribute and implement ideas for process improvements.

Requirements

Completed degree in Civil Engineering or comparable qualification, with a drive to successfully complete projects technically and economically.
2-3 years of professional experience in tendering, awarding, and/or construction supervision, ideally in building construction with a focus on existing building renovation or energy-efficient renovation.
Sound knowledge of VOB/B, VOB/C, procurement law, and HOAI, preferably with a focus on phases 6-8.
Proficiency in handling bills of quantities, quantity surveying, change order management, invoice verification, and construction processes.
Technical understanding of construction and execution in existing buildings to quickly assess feasibility on site.
Strong communication and assertiveness skills when dealing with companies and specialist planners.
Very good German language skills (C2), fluent in both on-site discussions and written correspondence.
Residency in Berlin or Brandenburg, or willingness to relocate to Berlin.
