About the Role

Bell’s Network Strategy team is seeking a visionary leader to define the long-term network architecture, focusing on Wireless Core Networks, Satellite Architecture, Priority Services, and AI/Automation/APIs. This senior technical leadership role involves driving the strategic 3+ year roadmap, researching emerging technologies, building business cases, and supporting technology execution teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the 3+ year architectural strategy and technology roadmap focusing on wireless core, satellite architecture, 6G evolution, network services, AI, automation, and APIs.
  • Identify, research, and assess emerging technology advancements. Define architectural requirements, build Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs), and host industry workshops.
  • Partner with Product and Business development teams to evaluate new market requirements, determine technical feasibility, and design end-to-end network capabilities.
  • Track global telecom industry trends, standards, and regulatory updates. Align internal strategies with key global bodies.
  • Drive seamless integration and optimal performance across wireless, wireline, and satellite domains.
  • Collaborate with IT, Operations, Security, Regulatory, and Corporate Strategy, as well as external vendors.
  • Ensure network infrastructure designs prioritize flexibility, scalability, robust security, and rapid adaptability to future technological shifts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related technical field (equivalent practical work experience will also be considered).
  • 8+ years of engineering experience in telecommunications, network strategy, architecture, or deep systems engineering.
  • Deep technical expertise in 5G wireless core functions, 6G architecture, satellite/non-terrestrial network (NTN) integration, network access, authentication, and policy frameworks.
  • Proven capability building financial business models, cost-benefit analyses, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) evaluations.
  • Strong working knowledge of standard bodies and wireless industry groups (3GPP, GSMA, ATIS, ETSI).
  • Strong leadership presence with a proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving consensus across multi-functional engineering and business teams.
  • Ability to translate highly complex technical concepts into clear, strategic narratives for executive, technical, and business audiences.
  • Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
