About the Role
The Payments and DFS Senior Associate leads a team of consultants, providing strategic advice to financial institutions, payment providers, regulators, and fintechs on payments, open finance, and virtual assets. The role requires deep industry knowledge, consulting experience, and business development skills.
Responsibilities
- Serves as Project Manager, responsible for overall project execution and delivery.
- Contributes to project execution, including analysis, synthesis, and deliverable development.
- Coordinates project teams, manages timelines, and ensures quality standards.
- Maintains client communication and manages day-to-day client relationships.
- Escalates issues and proactively problem-solves delivery challenges.
- Provides quality control and sign-off on proposals.
- Leads proposal development when required.
- Contributes to opportunity identification and pipeline development.
- Builds and maintains relationships with client counterparts.
- Leads one of the four service line work streams: Strategy, Research, Program Management, or Policy.
- Monitors the work stream pipeline and identifies opportunities to meet targets.
- Drafts knowledge management materials, targeting one piece per quarter.
- Represents the service line at key ecosystem events.
- Serves as line manager to associates and analysts.
- Conducts regular 1:1 meetings with direct reports.
- Conducts performance reviews and supports career development.
- Ensures appropriate resourcing and workload management for direct reports.
- Leads a working group (e.g., Recruitment, Communications, Onboarding, Partnerships).
- Sets working group objectives and ensures progress.
- Reports on working group activities to service line leadership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in consulting or payments or DFS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
