About the Role

The Daily Mail is seeking a Marketing Activation Manager to lead day-to-day CRM and marketing activation for Daily Mail+ in the US. This role involves translating centrally developed lifecycle strategy into relevant, compliant campaigns for the US audience and supporting acquisition activation when needed. It requires strong campaign-management skills and sound judgment about the US market, with collaboration across global and US teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage email as the primary CRM channel and support the introduction of push, in-app, and other channels for the US audience.
  • Maintain an accurate campaign calendar and coordinate dependencies for timely activity launches.
  • Adapt Activation for the US Market by translating centrally developed lifecycle strategy, segmentation, and campaigns to reflect US audience needs, seasonality, tone, and market context.
  • Serve as the primary connection point to London regarding campaign performance and US market needs.
  • Support the US Acquisition team with activation execution when dedicated capacity is needed.
  • Embed Compliance from the Start by owning the day-to-day relationship with Legal on US data-protection, consent, and marketing-permission requirements.
  • Build compliance requirements into campaign planning and execution.
  • Maintain clear processes and documentation to support compliant, consistent activation across channels.
  • Improve Performance through Insight and Testing by monitoring CRM engagement, retention, churn, and acquisition-activation results.
  • Partner with CRM, Customer Intelligence, and Analytics teams to evaluate campaign performance and identify actionable audience insights.
  • Develop a practical testing cadence across content, timing, segmentation, offers, and channels, and apply learnings across the US program.

Requirements

  • At least four years of experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, marketing activation, or a closely related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience building and executing customer campaigns, preferably across email and at least one additional owned channel.
  • Experience adapting centralized or global marketing strategies for a local market.
  • Working knowledge of US marketing-compliance requirements, including CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and CCPA/CPRA.
  • Strong project-management skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns, stakeholders, and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical judgment and the ability to turn campaign results into practical improvements.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively across US and international teams.
