Responsibilities

Perform all required safety checks, including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations and company safety standards.
Report all safety issues and/or repairs as needed.
Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
Immediately report any and all safety hazards.
Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
Drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedule.
Perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines.
Park and store tractor trailers in designated areas, ensuring all equipment and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured at all times.
Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in login in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Assist with fueling trucks and trailers as needed, ensuring proper fueling procedures are followed.
Load and unload trucks on forklift and ride on pallet jack.
Assist the night warehouse crew with moving trucks when present.
Required to work even in inclement weather.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED.
Clean CDL Class A license.
Must have the ability to lift product weighing up to 100 lbs on a consistent basis.
Required to climb in and out of a commercial vehicle and operate in a safe manner.
Must be able to walk, bend, lift on a regular basis.
Must be able to use hands to handle and feel objects, perform fine finger movements, reach with hands and arms, and have the ability to see, talk, and hear.
Possess normal vision with or without correction and able to distinguish colors.
Possess fluent speech in English, writing and communication skills necessary to effectively carry out job functions.
