About the Role
Join our Student Support Services team as a Student Wellbeing Advisor, playing an active part in the overarching Wellbeing Team and sharing ideas with colleagues. This role is crucial in supporting students' personal and academic success.
Responsibilities
- Provide advice, guidance, and information to academic colleagues on supporting students with personal barriers to learning.
- Assess cases and decide on appropriate wellbeing interventions, including referrals to internal or external services.
- Offer advice, guidance, information, and support to students on wellbeing issues impacting their studies.
- Escalate cases with identified risks according to procedures and protocols.
- Act as a Safeguarding Officer for nominated campuses, supporting the Head of Safe & Inclusive Campuses.
Requirements
- Experience of working within a wellbeing or student advice department in an educational environment.
- Experience of working with students under the age of 18.
- Ability to develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Must be able to prove the right to work in the UK.
- Some posts may be subject to a DBS check.
