About the Role
The Real Assets Product Manager will cultivate product and commercial innovation for existing clients and new products and services. This role is responsible for the product development of Real Assets solutions, supporting client decision-making with high-quality data and analytics. The Product Manager will conduct research and interface with clients to contribute to MSCI’s Real Assets strategy through the identification, development, and go-to-market of new features and platforms.
Responsibilities
- Perform market analysis of existing and emerging client needs, industry trends, and competitive trends.
- Manage the product lifecycle, identifying new opportunities, service improvements, and cost reductions.
- Contribute to the determination of product pricing and profitability, including approval of special pricing.
- Present new ideas to clients in collaboration with the sales team and refine them based on feedback.
- Develop new Real Assets ideas in collaboration with research, including onboarding new data and developing new indexes with external providers and partners.
- Build a business plan with a strategic marketing mindset, including product, pricing, packaging, and competitive analysis.
- Map out a plan for the development of thematic Real Assets products for different client segments, collaborating with Program Management, Engineering, Data Operations, and Research.
- Develop go-to-market plans for new products or features and prioritize their development.
- Support product release and launch, coordinating application changes, data feeds, and Salesforce updates.
- Test new features in relevant applications.
- Prepare pitchbooks and factsheets.
- Draft FAQs and supporting documentation for client-facing teams.
- Coordinate and send client communications.
- Collaborate with sales to understand market reception of products and identify improvements for commercial packaging, targeting, positioning, and product-market fit.
Requirements
- Deep and commercial understanding of the commercial real estate industry, global investment process, and investment flows.
- Working knowledge of the debt and lending side of real assets, in addition to equity.
- Deep institutional commercial and strategic business experience in the investment industry.
- Significant experience managing global and regional cross-functional teams.
- Proven record of P&L management experience in Fintech, particularly in Investment & Capital Markets Technology and Financial Data.
- Exceptional track record of managing, building, developing, and growing sales, research, and product management into high-performing teams.
- Excellent balance of strategy and process/execution.
- Proven track record of sustained revenue and profitability growth as a global product management business leader.
- Experience delivering projects to clients from pitch to execution.
- Experience delivering against target sales goals.
- Balanced mindset between commercial revenue creation and technical skills.
- Creative and innovative in problem-solving, formulation of solutions, and overcoming obstacles.
- Great initiative and motivation, and a drive to learn new interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of client investment processes.
- Strong client relationships and strategic mindset.
- Proven record of collaborations and building highly effective business and commercial teams.

- 15+ Years of experience in strategic marketing, product, pricing, packaging, and competitive analysis in the relevant space.
