About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Instructor to support our afterschool Dungeons & Dragons and cooking classes. You will help students learn, stay engaged, and feel welcome while assisting lead instructors with class activities, setup, and cleanup.
Responsibilities
- Support lead instructors during Dungeons & Dragons and cooking classes.
- Help students learn game rules, participate in collaborative storytelling, and work on creative projects.
- Assist with cooking activities while reinforcing safety and cleanliness.
- Keep students engaged and help manage behavior in a positive, encouraging way.
- Assist with attendance, setup, cleanup, and organization of materials.
- Communicate with instructors and the site team about student needs and class activities.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Teaching experience, preferably with elementary-level students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
- Experience in curriculum development.
- At least 1 year of teaching experience, preferably with elementary-level students.
- Strong background in Dungeons & Dragons and Art.
