About the Role
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of our applications and systems. You will be responsible for identifying security risks, conducting security assessments, and developing security solutions that support our operations and development teams in implementing more resilient and robust applications. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in cyber and information security.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical teams to integrate security controls and measures into the software development lifecycle and secure operational processes.
- Conduct security assessments, such as penetration tests, threat modeling, and concept reviews.
- Develop and operate technical security tools to ensure central security controls like vulnerability management or compliance with regulations for self-managed workstations.
- Plan and conduct targeted training on application and infrastructure security.
Requirements
- Solid experience in information security and an intrinsic motivation to keep your knowledge constantly up-to-date.
- Understanding of modern, agile product development and practical experience with DevSecOps concepts.
- Experience with all types of technical security audits (white-box and black-box), ideally in regulated and certified environments such as KRITIS, PCI-DSS.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, ideally Python and/or Java, as well as experience with modern virtual machine and container environments.
- A true team player who always leads by example. You are comfortable efficiently managing projects and stakeholders even in stressful situations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, good English language skills, quality awareness, personal responsibility, and the ability to work in an international team.
