About the Role

The Jewish Board's Community Behavioral Health treatment programs provide compassionate, high-quality, evidence-based services to individuals and families. This position offers clinical services within an OMH licensed outpatient mental health clinic, including evaluations, therapy, case management, and crisis interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations/intakes.
  • Develop and revise treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
  • Provide individual, group, family, and crisis interventions.
  • Liaise with families, schools, criminal justice, and other community agencies to coordinate care.
  • Provide linkages to embedded care coordination, SUD services, nursing, psychiatric, and medical services.
  • Participate in clinical meetings, staff meetings, trainings, and supervision.
  • Maintain all documentation according to established standards and time limits.
  • Maintain professional behaviors and ethical standards.
  • Participate in agency training in evidenced-based models.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must live within the United States.
  • Must have a valid NYS State License.
  • Able to engage with clients and explore their emotions, life events, and resources.
  • Skilled in clinical risk assessment and providing trauma-informed, culturally sensitive therapeutic interventions.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Understands group dynamics and can effectively lead clinical group sessions.
  • Uses clinical assessments to drive referrals.
  • Maintain an active and steady caseload.
  • Experience documenting in electronic health records.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office.
  • Able to read paper and electronic documents.
  • Able to perform significant data entry into various computer programs.

  • Master’s degree in counseling, creative arts, or social work from an accredited program.
  • New York State License in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC).
  • New York State License in Creative Arts Therapy (LCAT).
  • New York State License in Social Work (LMSW/LCSW).
