About the Role
As an Associate on the Rating and Monitoring team, you will be responsible for assessing the credit rating of Capital Market borrowers, verifying covenant compliance, monitoring company and industry developments, and identifying key risk events. The role requires developing industry expertise, collaborating with analysts across several sectors, and coaching/mentoring junior risk analysts.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor credit risk, including identifying key credit events and reviewing/refreshing credit risk ratings.
- Participate in team deliverables for regulatory/audit requests.
- Ensure borrower compliance with credit agreement terms and conditions.
- Develop expertise in assigned portfolio, policies, and guidelines, providing value-added advice to internal partners.
- Conduct research, analyze financial statements, and develop financial projections.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business partners.
Requirements
- Self-motivated with strong credit and analytical skills.
- Ability to critically assess financial statements and other client reports to draw reasoned conclusions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- 3-5 years of knowledge and experience in credit risk and/or financial analysis.
- High degree of computer literacy: MS Office Suite, database software, and electronic tools for online research.
