About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Claims Liaison to cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, insurers, and independent adjusting firms. The successful candidate will collaborate within a team of claims specialists to support NFP’s Commercial Insurance professionals by offering guidance, advocacy, and customer support, ultimately enhancing customer experience and team success.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Claims management for Key clients by providing expert end to end claim advice across multiple coverage lines
  • Serve as a resource to discuss claim strategy, analyze exposures, and provide perspective on complex claim situations, limitations and coinsurance, coverage denials, or disputed settlements, providing advocacy where necessary
  • Develop strategies and protocols to improve the Claims handling process
  • Co-ordinate and manage relationships with third party service providers
  • Establish business relationships with claims leaders at Canadian based insurers

Requirements

  • RIBO License and commitment to obtain licensing in other Canadian jurisdictions
  • Typically, more than 10 years of industry and product line experience in a brokerage setting working as a Senior Client Manager or dedicated claims specialist
  • Experience with Commercial P&C claims
  • Cyber, Management Lines and E&O claims settlement experience is a plus
  • High level of organizational skills with proven experience in managing multiple tasks and internal / external clients concurrently in a claims setting
  • Knowledge of the EPIC system is an asset
  • Proficiency in coordinating and performing technical claims discussions with internal and external customers
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Suite products including excel, outlook, word and power point
  • Bilingualism would be an asset

  • $80,000 to $100,000
  • May be eligible for performance-based incentives
