About the Role

Metergy Solutions Inc. is a rapidly growing technology company focused on reducing carbon emissions through submetering services. We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to manage and execute our BI & Revenue Assurance Program, operations dashboards, reporting, and Gross Margin Integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Extract, clean, and analyze large volumes of data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Conduct deep dive business intelligence analysis into operational areas to provide insights on key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop insights and recommendations for leadership.
  • Provide monthly management insight for performance opportunities and financial variance analysis.
  • Understand regulation changes and launch organizational projects to implement changes.
  • Plan, develop, and approve operational policies, standard operating procedures, and quality management systems for revenue assurance.
  • Monitor daily performance against key metrics to identify opportunities and anomalies.
  • Review current operational processes and recommend improvements.
  • Work with departmental owners to implement and ensure controls for the lead-to-cash process.
  • Develop and champion revenue leakage issues by engaging stakeholders for revenue maximization.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in Business Intelligence, data analytics, and emerging technologies.
  • Evaluate and incorporate new tools or techniques to enhance BI capabilities.

Requirements

  • Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Economics, or other quantitative fields.
  • Preference for additional training with Data Analytics / IT.
  • Preference for industry experience with Utilities, Telecommunications, or other large consumer base businesses within North American jurisdictions (250k+ customers).
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Operations, or relevant work experience at a fast-growing utility company is preferred.
  • High proficiency in data modeling and analysis using Excel, PowerBI, Python & SQL.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to build strong working partnerships with stakeholders.
  • Understanding and experience working with statistical revenue and costing information.
  • Strong technical skills to mine large volumes of data.
  • Ability to apply superior data knowledge & discovery skills into building effective analysis.
  • Ability to conduct basic statistical and correlation analysis.
  • Industry or working experience with customer billing environments with large transaction volumes.
  • Attention to detail and quality, strong time management and project/work planning skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver Industry Leading Best-in-Class reporting and analytical solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer interaction skills including communications, presentation, and conflict resolution.
