About the Role

AIWI is dedicated to ensuring insider disclosures in AI are maximally impactful and safe. This role is responsible for the Education Delivery and Growth function, focusing on ensuring that insiders discover and trust AIWI's support network. The position requires strategic thinking, pragmatic execution, and a focus on outreach, education, and referral activities to connect insiders with necessary guidance and support.

Responsibilities

  • Own how insiders discover AIWI and its partners, build trust, and connect with the support network.
  • Run a portfolio of outreach, education, and referral activities to ensure awareness and trusted connections for AI insiders.
  • Test offerings, measure success, and scale effective strategies.
  • Direct and indirect outreach: Build and manage channels (events, online campaigns, referrals) to deliver educational material to AI employees.
  • Network build-up and management: Map, prioritize, and uncover opportunities for education delivery and connection building.
  • Journalist network and offerings: Build relationships with reporters and develop offerings to facilitate insider support.
  • Explore alternative intake channels: Investigate referral pathways via employment attorneys and targeted outreach.
  • Partner enablement: Collaborate with network partners on joint content, campaigns, and events.
  • Team and budget management (for Head of role): Hire, manage, and grow the Education Delivery and Growth team, utilizing a significant budget.
  • Enabling work: Discover and prioritize barriers, education needs, and target audiences; set delivery goals; develop campaign strategy; measure against goals.

Requirements

  • Scaled relevant high- and low-touch growth motions in complex environments.
  • Built and grown multiple communities, audiences, or customer bases, ideally serving a similar audience.
  • Resourceful and motivated by challenges, capable of overcoming obstacles.
  • Comfortable with "thinking big" and building scalable systems for outreach, including network and spending management, and team recruitment/management.
  • Experimentation-driven approach: Formulate hypotheses, conduct tests, measure results, and adapt strategies.
  • Ability to build a strategy from a blank page, identify key opportunities, and develop a concrete plan.
  • Strong track record of independent project management, including managing collaborators, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Deep care for AI safety and a strong interest in rapidly understanding whistleblowing, legal, and security domains.
  • Strong communication skills: Capable of crafting clear and effective written communication for various audiences.
  • A relevant, trusted network is a plus (AI company employees, journalists, AI safety/governance community).
  • Backgrounds like Developer Relations lead, Growth-side founder/hire, Political/advocacy organizing director, Technical recruiter, or Sales/marketing leader are suitable.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Salary/Compensations

  • USD 150,000-250,000 commensurate with experience
  • High six-figure annual budget for Head of Education Delivery and Growth
